South Sacramento Rotary held its annual speech contest on Monday, March 12. This year's theme was "Reach Out to Embrace Humanity." Students from both Luther Burbank High School and Inderkum High School competed for three places with prizes of $200, $100, and $50 with the winner going on to semifinal competition where more dollars are at stake.
